Philosophy


Group Description :

The second series  of weekly Meetings runs from 7th.  November until 12th December. This is an introduction to Western Philosophy, with an emphasis  on the Modern Era and Philosophers.  Topics include: Science, Art, Politics, Dialectics, Mind, and Right and Wrong. A text is available to borrow from the Cu3a Library which  sets  these out. There are places available which are bookable via the Group list  at Causeway u3a.org. and by contacting the group leaders Chris and Helena. 

 Expressions of interest are also being taken for the New Year series which runs from the 9th January 2026 onwards . This considers Philosophical  approaches in  Global Societies and Cultures including Oriental., Middle Eastern and European  traditions; in the final six weeks Popular and Applied Philosophical approaches  may be discussed including, music, craft, sport.
